NEW SCHOOL YEAR - NEW CONTEST....

SUEDE CONTEST REGULATIONS

Suede movies became famous with Michel Gondry ’s movie : « Be Kind, Rewind » (2007). A ‘suede’ is a remake of popular movie with minimum techniques but a lot of humour and imagination.

Regulations: 

HOW TO COMPETE?

1. Anyone as long as he / she is not a professional can compete.

2. To compete you need to fulfill the form attached and give it back at the latest on13 December 2019.

3. Every person that is recognizable on the screen should give you, his/her/their consent(s) (form attached) - according to the French law. No need of it for the USA.

4. A copy of the film will be given to the organizers and they will be free to post it on YouTube or on the high school website.

5. The competitors will have to describe their work in a text of 10 - 15 lines. 

6. The deadline for the movies to be given is : 30 January 2020

THE MOVIE :

7. Every movie must be based on a famous film. An American blockbuster mostly. An non-exhaustive list is attached

8. Are excluded : TV shows, series, and commercials.

PARAMETRES TECHNIQUES :

9. The movie must not exceed 2 minutes.

10. Neither an image nor a scene from the original movie can be used. But the remake will have to be inspired from the original movie (dialogues, sound effects…)

11. Film directors will have to use their own set of tools.

12. Films can be shot in 4:3 or 16/9, in color or black and white.

13. Movies will have to be recorded on a DVD or USB to be read with VLC.

THE ‘OSCARS’ NIGHT

14. A ceremony will take place in March between 23 and 30, 2020.

15. If the movie does not respect the rules of the contest, it will be excluded.

VOTES AND REWARDS

16. The jury consists in professionals, and art teachers and parents from Charter School of Wilmington.

17. The public will vote during the evening projections.

18. The Recompenses will be :

♦︎The Prize of the Audience.
